An innovative program on flood modeling training is being prepared where senior practitioners of government institutions are provided with models and know-how to forecast rainfall and flood inundation for risk assessment. The program first provide the tools and training on methodologies over a 3 week period at central locations in the region. The participants then return to their own countries and apply the methodologies to local problems. They come back for verification and finalization for another period of 3 weeks to the same central location. The tools available for this program are described in the Flood Page
